This Chicago showcase held by RecruitLook Hoops is one of the best if not the best youth tournament in Illinois all year! The first day was filled with great matchups and prospects showing off their skills. I watched two games today, and this is what I saw.

Illinois Stars vs Rocky Mountain Select (CO):

The stars take this one in the 17u bracket 64-39. They were led by Downers Grove North wing Alex Miller, who poured in 27 points. The 6'5 junior plays with high energy, he's a good defender, always in the right place, takes charges and blocks shots. He's a solid scorer, has a nice shot from deep and finishes through contact. Was a big part of DGN's long run this past season. Another prospect that we liked in this one for the stars was 2024 James Bullock. The 6'8 Bullock from Marian Catholic has great size and length that translates well to the next level. He finished with 21 points in this one, has a good post game, rebounds, and blocks shots.

Wisconsin Playgraound vs Mac Irvin Fire:

Have seen this Wisconsin Playground group a lot over the years with the similar core of 2025s Jake Hansen and Kai Rogers. Hansen the 6'1 guard is a flat out sniper from deep! He hit several 3 pointers in the second half leading to 32 points. Hansen holds 2 division 1 offers already, and will likely receive more as he his one of the best shooters in his class. Rogers the 6'10 big man is a beast in the paint. Rebounds, block shots, finishes over the rim, has all the tools to be a successful player at a high major division 1 program. The other top prospect for this team is Amari Allen, a 6'7 wing from IMG. Allen had 16 points, with his size, length, perimeter and interior skill he dominates both sides of the ball.

For the fire, Davion Hannah a 2025 that impressed last year, does it again with 18 points today. Had an extremely tough putback dunk and some nice finishes throughout the game.

Thanks to RecruitLook Hoops for giving me the media pass for this weekend to evaluate some of the top prospects in and out of Illinois. Tomorrow and Sunday, I will have a lot more coverage and will check out more games!
