*These are from THE GAMES I SAW”
Nashawn Holmes (St. Rita)
Holmes needs to get more looks. He was the offensive leader for Rita against HF, putting up 15 points. He hit several 3’s along with some nice strong takes to the basket.
Matthew Moore (Hillcrest)
Moore has had a nice overall weekend. Against Romeoville he had 18 points, using his strength and power in the post, for buckets. Also a good shot blocker, good overall big prospect.
Dalen Davis (Whitney Young)
Davis is so smooth. He is an elite all around point guard who can score from anywhere on the court. Although he is a great scorer he is also a great playmaker, he led his team to a win over Oak Lawn.
Xavier Sulaiman (Oak Lawn)
First look at Sulaiman with his new squad. Brings so much to the game with his athleticism, he is so quick getting downhill, and just glides in the air for dunks and layups. Also has a quick trigger from 3. Khalil Ross (Brother Rice)
The long forward has a ton of upside for Rice. Already holds an offer from Chicago State, and should gain more soon. Best in transition, but can step out and hit the 3. Had 20 points against Fenwick.
Brady Kunka (Benet)
Kunka is one of the top shooters in the state, and is really athletic. He had 20 points controlling the offense for Benet’s win over Batavia.
Niko Absura (Benet)
Another athletic prospect for Benet. He finished with 18 points against Batavia, long wing who can do it all on the court, underrated in 2023.
Wesley/Miles Rubin (Simeon)
Rubin twins dominated all game against DePaul Prep, setting the tone early. They were unguardable in the lower post and had a couple monster throw downs in transition. Defensive presence is also there.
