*These are the standouts from THE GAMES I SAW”

Darrion Baker (Hillcrest)

Baker is a prospect with a ton of upside. Powerful 4 who dominated the paint. Has nice control and touch to finish in the post. Also showed his ability to knock down the 3!

Matthew Moore (Hillcrest)

Like Moore‘s ability as a rim runner. Runs hard and finishes above the rim. His shot blocking and rim protection is the thing that sticks out the most.

Marcus Pigram (Whitney Young)

Pure scoring guard for Young. Took over the game with crafty moves to finish at the basket and knocked down a three. Strong guard with speed with a good defensive mindset.

Ahmad Henderson (Brother Rice)

Henderson is a guard with all of the offensive tools. His quickness and ball handling help him score at the rim and from beyond the ark. One of the best playmakers in the state as well.

Mekhi Lowery (Oswego East)

Lowery is primed for a breakout season with the Wolves. He is hyper athletic as a wing, uses that to finish well at the basket. He is also an elite rebounder for his position. Expect to see Lowery‘s stock rise over this season.

Bryce Shoto (Oswego East)

The senior guard is speed and shifty. Knocked down shots and made plays for the wolves against St. Rita. Like the fit as he has newly transferred in.

Jordan Chandler (St. Rita)

I was really impressed with Chandler all day. The 2023 guard showed his strength to finish at the basket through contact. One of the many great pieces for a talented Rita team.

Hunter Duncan (Evanston)

One of the most explosive guards I have seen. He gets to the basket, has nice body control, and finishes with a variety of different layups. He led his team to a win over Kenwood.

Josh Thomas (Evanston)

Thomas is a nice prospect for Evanston. A guard who can fly high and knock down the 3. Showed that being the leading scorer in the game against Kenwood.
