Jack Tosh Holiday Tournament is now down to a final four, after the elite eight games were all today. There was some great matchups, and the teams played up to the hype. This was what I saw from Wednesday!

St Ignatius overwhelmes Riverside Brookfield:

In my opinion I would say St Ignatius is the favorite to win the Jack Tosh. I was expecting a great game today between these two teams, and the Wolfpack handled them with ease. Reggie Ray got off to a real hot start, knocking down a couple of threes, as long with a nice floater. Finished the game with 17 points. The leading scorer for Ignatius was Richard Barron with 24. Barron just straight up dominated the second half, got anything he wanted on the floor, and showed his leadership for this young team. Jackson Kotecki contributed a double-double, 11 points and 10 rebounds. Ignatius won 70-45.

Lyons remains unbeaten, as they dominate Palatine:

Lyons beat Palatine 59-34, in the second game of the elite eight. They were led by two sport athlete, Yale football commit, Graham Smith. The 2023 forward that stands at 6'5, was getting baskets in the paint leading the way with 16 points, also an aggressive rebounder, grabbing 12. Penn commit Niklas Polonowski added 15, and Jackson Niego added 13.

Rolling Meadows defeats Glenbrook South 74-64:

Really close game throughout, but the Mustangs pulled it out thanks to Minnesota commit Cameron Christie. Christie scored 28, knocking down 4 three pointers. They way he gets to his spots, and elevates on his jump shot, makes him truly unguardable at the high school level. Helping him out is underrated/unsigned Tsvet Sotirov. The 6'8 wing put up 22 points, catching and shooting the deep ball, made 6. He's a true college prospect with his size, length, and versatility.

For GBS, they were led by 2023 Gaven Marr. He had 16 points, showing off his perimeter shooting. 2023 Josh Wolf added 15, he got off to a really hot start. As Nick Taylor and Rodell Davis Jr added 13. GBS showed they are a balanced scoring team, and can compete with anybody.

Bolingbrook knocks off previously undefeated Lemont in game of the tournament:

This was an highly anticipated 3rd round matchup between Bolingbrook and Lemont. Bolingbrook took this one 53-50. The raiders size was too much for Lemont. The raiders were led once again by Aries Hull. Establishes great post postition, which led him to a dunk early. Finishes well at the basket, glass cleaner, and made free throws, having 11 points. Mekhi Cooper usually known for his deep shooting, but yesterday, was able to get to the basket for some finishes, as well as hitting a 3. Was impressed with 2023 Keon Alexander, at 6'7, he is athletic and wills himself to the basket, good on offensive glass as well. Also 2024 DJ Strong, is a smooth lefty who can knock down shots. Bolingbrook will play Rolling Meadows in the semifinals.

For Lemont, the twins led the way again. They just play with great enthusiasm and energy. Rokas put up 17, Matas with 16. Both hit 3s, got to the rim, and played great defense. 2023 Miles Beachum helped out as well with rebounding on both ends and a couple of baskets. Along with Ryan Runaas, showed his ability to create his own shot, with a pull up, and side step 3. Lemont will face Glenbrook South.
