*Reminder these are from the games I covered*

Wednesday: Bolingbrook @ Romeoville

Mekhi Cooper (Bolingbrook)

The Miami (OH) signee put up 14 points in the win over Romeoville. The raider point guard knocked down several shots from deep and dished to his teammates.

DJ Strong (Bolingbrook)

Strong a 2024 combo guard is one to keep an eye on. Smooth lefty guard, who can score from all 3 levels and create for others. Scored 12 points in the win.

Donovan Younger (Bolingbrook)

The 6'9 forward is one of the top unsigned seniors in the state. Is back healthy, showcasing his paint scoring and rebounding, while stepping out and hitting a midrange shot.

Meyoh Swansey (Romeoville)

Was really impressed with the well sized 2024 combo guard. Scores from all 3 levels, especially at the rim, with his explosiveness. Had a highlight reel dunk in a half court set. Elevates well on his shot. Put up 17 for the Spartans.

Aaron Brown (Romeoville)

Brown the Concordia commit is a strong bodied wing who rim rums, attacks the basket, has a midrange shot, and rebounds on both ends of the floor. Had 15 points in the loss.

Friday: Eisenhower @ Oak Lawn

Ayham Salah (Oak Lawn)

Salah is a tremendous athlete, plays 3 sports baseball, football, and of course basketball. Friday he put up 21 points, most in the second half. He's a good shooter, who gets hot quick, made 5 threes in the win.

Eduardo Chiquito (Oak Lawn)

Another shooter for the Spartans. 2023 wing Chiquito made 2 threes, and had nice finish through contact, leading him to 9 points.

Donte Montgomery (Oak Lawn)

The 2025 combo guard is a new name for me and should be on everybody's radar. Smooth shot and had a nice hesitation into a crafty finish at the basket. The transfer for Marist had 8 points on the win.

AJ Abrams (Eisenhower)

Have heard a lot about the 2024 point guard this season, and he showed why in the first half. He's a speedy, electric guard getting to the basket, where he showed crafty finishing. Solid defender, pressures the ball, and stays in front.

Darrion Pippen (Eisenhower)

The 2024 guard led the cardinals in scoring with 12 points. Used his speed and strong handle to get to the basket, usually getting fouled and capitalizing at the free throw line. Also knocked down a 3.

Steve Pappas Shootout @ DePaul Prep

PJ Chambers (DePaul Prep)

The 2024 combo guard started out the shootout with 22 points. Showed he can score from all 3 levels, has a smooth lefty handle, and came up clutch at the free throw line. One of the overlooked players in the junior class.

Asa Thomas (Lake Forest)

The Clemson commit is one of the purest scorers in the state. At 6'7, he can rise over his defenders and knock down his shot, finishes over the rim with his athleticism, and showed his improved playmaking ability. Scored 24.

Josh Fridman (Glenbrook North)

Fridman is a smaller guard, but makes up for it with his good shooting and playmaking. The 2024 guard scored 24 points and had 6 assists in the win over St Ignatius.

Richard Barron (St Ignatius)

The George Mason commit put up 25 points in the loss to Glenbrook North. Uses his strength to finish at the basket and has a feathery jumper. Has contintued his big year so far.

Ahmad Henderson (Brother Rice)

The Niagara commit simply can't be guarded, after another big performance against Bolingbrook. He put up 22 points, making 4 three pointers, great playmaking, and good ball handler.

Khalil Ross (Brother Rice)

Unsigned 2023 forward put up 16 points and 10 rebounds in the win. The lefty, has a nice touch around the basket, can step out and hit 3s, can block shots, and is a rebounding machine.

Jeremey Fears Jr (Joliet West)

Michigan State commit had 24 points and hit the game winning shot over Rolling Meadows. Scores from all 3 levels, is bouncy at the rim, and is a feisty defender. Glad he is back in state.

Jeremiah Fears (Joliet West)

Jeremiah had 16 points in the win. Proved he is the best player in the class of 2025, with his perimeter skill, shooting, size, length, and improved defense.
