*Reminder these are from the games I saw*
Morez Johnson Jr (St Rita - 2024)
The Illini commit was on full display in the Tuesday night win over St Laurence. He put up 24 points, not only dominating in the paint. He looked extremely comfortable, knocking down midrange and 3s. Rebounder, shot blocker, big time dunks, just dominated on Tuesday.
Nojus Indrusaitis (St Rita - 2024)
The Lemont transfer finished with 16 points in the win. He got going in transition for easy layups and dunks. Then started knocking down 3s. Showed improved perimeter defense and willing playmaker.
Nashawn Holmes (St Rita - 2023)
Unsigned senior guard, fulfills needs for college coaches. Great on ball defender, leading to steals and deflections leading to transition baskets. Finished with 13 points.
Jacob Rice (St Laurence - 2025)
Rice has had a great start to his sophomore season. The 6'4 shooting guard had 11 of his teams 13 points in the first half against St Rita. Elite shooter, and staring to assert himself in the paint, with rebounds and strong takes to the basket. Put up 21 points in the loss.
EJ Mosley (St Laurence - 2025)
Was honestly expecting a better performance from Mosley, but was being harassed by mustang defenders. He still managed to put up 11 points, tuff pull up jumpers along with smooth 3 point shot. Good poise and handle as well.
Austin Kulig (Andrew - 2023)
Kulig showed out at the Chitown Showcase and showed out against Tinley Park. Unsigned 6'8 wing, holds offer from Lewis University. Knocks down 3s at high level along with athleticism which he uses on both ends of the floor. 24 points for the Thunderbolts.
Nathan LaPlant (Andrew - 2023)
LaPlant had 18 points in the win. He's had a 45 point game this season including 11 threes. He's a lot like Kulig, with size he has a beautiful 3 point shot. Finishes well at the basket as well. Good prospect for D2.
Indion Aurel (Tinley Park - 2024)
Aurel crossed my eye last year against Hillcrest, I believe in his first varsity game as a sophomore, was the smallest player on the court knocking down big 3s. This year still hitting 3s, but now is taller and stronger. Good form and rhythm, led the Titians with 12 points.
Makai Kvamme (DePaul Prep - 2025)
Kvamme is smooth with the ball in his hands. He's calm and poised when getting to the basket for clever finished. All around point guard, only a sophomore will be a top player in the state come his senior year. Had 14 points in win over the mustangs.
Maurice Thomas (DePaul Prep - 2023)
Thomas was a consistent scorer all game long. Smooth 3 point shot, but can also get to the basket with his long frame. Also an unsigned senior guard, college coaches should contact him! Finished with 10 points.
PJ Chambers (DePaul Prep - 2024)
Have seen Chambers in AAU a lot and was easily impressed yesterday. Led the game in scoring with 19, operates well in the midrange area, and uses his strength to get to the basket. Certainly a player to track in the junior class.
Nolan Sexton (Evegreen Park - 2024)
Sexton had a little bit of a quieter night with 12 points, but still showed his ability to knock down big time 3s from deep. Nice load up into his shot, can shoot it from anywhere inside halfcourt.
Ulises Cardenas (Evergren Park - 2024)
Didn't know much about the 5'10 guard coming into the game, but man he impressed big. Another shooter from deep for the mustangs. He hit 3 threes, a couple huge ones, leading to 9 points.
Lonnie Mosley (Evergren Park - 2026)
End the standouts with a freshman! Mosley finished with 10 points in the loss. Has put up some big scoring games already in his varsity career. Gets to the basket and finishes through contact, will be a terrific scorer for his following years. Wonder where he will end up in the rankings!
