The players listed in this article have been balling so far to start of this aau seaon. Some were expected and some weren't. Coveraing from 2024-2026, and 1 2027 player. Most of these players played at the Prep Hoops tournament this weekend in Chicago. College coaches contact me for more information on these players!

2027

Jaxson Davis (Warren - PG) - Davis has been playing up on the 17 u level this year with Illinois Central Elite. He has solidified himself as the top prospect in the state for his class. At the Prep Hoops Chi Town Tip Off this weekend he dropped 40 points in the first game. High level scorer from all levels and solid defender. Will attend Warren next year for his first year of high school.

2026

Marquis Clark (Whitney Young - PG) - Clark impressed at the Recruit Look Hoops tournament with Meanstreets. The 6'2 guard can't be stopped getting to the basket. He has a great handle, good strength, and concentration to finish through contact at the basket. Good on ball defender and has proved he can hit the 3 ball.

Rajan Roberts (Proviso West - PG) - Roberts just picked up his first division 1 offer from Eastern Illinois. Running with Team Rose, he has showed everyone that he is an elite two way player. Played varisty as a freshman and put up big time scoring numbers. Just an all around bucket getter who will be getting a lot of college attention soon.

Andre Tyler (St. Rita - SG) - Another Team Rose product who has been on a tear lately. He's a great shooter, shoots it off the dribble and catch. Good playmaker as well, drives in the lane and kicks out to his teammates. Tyler has been growing and getting more explosive, can't wait to see the player he becomes.

Stephen Brown (Marist - SF) - The 6'7 wing playing with the Mac Irvin Fire is one of the most athletic players in his class. Brown thrives in transition finishing over the rim. He's a good rim protector already and has the most potential out of anybody in his class. Has 2 offers from high major football programs.

Rykan Woo (Whitney Young - PG) - Woo is one of the most exciting players to watch with his quickness and shot making. The Illinois Wolves point guard knocks down 3s and dishes the ball at a high level. Operates well in the pick and roll often finding the open man or scoring himself. Already has some achievements winning a City Championship and Pangos MVP.

2025

Makai Kvamme (DePaul Prep - PG) - Fresh off of a state championship, Makai is playing up in 17u with All In. The 6'0 smooth all around point guard is a good ball handler, good playmaker, and good finisher at the rim. He has put up some high scoring and assisting number so far. Makai started every game on varisty last season with DePaul Prep.

Chayse Turner (Lincoln Park - SF) - Turner turned a lot of heads during the school season and is continuing with Team Rose. The 6'3 wing relentlessly attacks the basket and finshes at the rim. Good in transition, often getting steals, leading to dunks the other way. Good 2-way potential and is comfortable handling the ball.

Donte Montgomery Jr. (Oak Lawn - SG) - Donte running with The Work Foundation has started to get a lot of attention. Standing at 6'2, it looks like he is still growing. Played up on 17u last weekend, he's a silky smooth scorer from all 3 levels. Will have an increased role on a solid Spartans team next year.

EJ Mosley (St. Laurence - PG) - Mosley has been picking up divison 1 offers left and right to start off the aau season. With Y&R, he hit a game winning layup at the Rock Spring Classic. Mosley is a lead guard who is shifty and has a ton of moves to get to the basket, knocks down the 3, and has a tuff pull up jumper. Have seen an recent boost of athleticism in his game as well.

Elijah Lovemore (Bloom - PG) - Lovemore running with the Mac Irvin Fire has continued his impressive scoring from the high school season. Not only a scorer, he has a high basketball IQ, often getting into the lane and finding open teammates for baskets. Excels in attacking the basket and finishing off the pick and roll. Stock will certainly rise for the 6'3 guard.

2024

Je'Shawn Stevenson Jr. (Lindbloom - SG) - A player who flew onto the scene during the high school season, putting up multiple 30+ point games. Stevenson playing with Meanstreets this year, plays with such poise. He gets downhill and finishes through contact at the basket. Has received multiple division 1 offers recently.

Gianni Cobb (Homewood Flossmoor - PG) - The Team Rose point guard is one of the most exciting players to watch in Illinois. Cobb is so quick getting to the basket where he has a whole bag of finshes. Really good playmaker, really good in the pick and roll. Good change of pace, and plays with such a great motor. Good on ball defender, should start to see scholarship offers coming in.

Santana Flowers (Bloom - SF) - The 6'6 wing is uber athletic. Running with Midwest Renegade, Flowers put up some impressive scoring numbers this past weekend, multiple games over 20 points. Is always active on both ends of the floor, attacks the glass for every rebound, truly plays hard and with a lot of energy. Starting to develop outside shooting game, stock will continue to rise.

Jack Stanton (Downers Grove N - CG) - One of the best shooters if not the best in the state. Showed out during the playoffs with Downers Grove North. Not just his shooting that reminds me of Stephen Curry, but the constant movement also. Often has the ball in his hands, but when he gives it up he's cutting, screening, or coming off of a screen. Ranking keeps jumping up, running with Breakaway.

Drew King (Joliet West - C) - King playing with Chicago Lockdown, stands at 6'10. Attends Joliet West High School, where last season showed his potential of being an elite rim runner and shot blocker. Big on the offensive glass for putbacks. Has an offer from D2 Roosevelt, will expect more to come!
