A lot of the same names were thrown around this AAU season, so I wanted to give recognition to those who got it done at a high level but didn’t get the same notice from scouts. These following prospects are guys who should be getting a lot more recognition.
Marcus Everhart (Greater Purpose)
Everhart is 6’5, lengthy, athletic, and an energy booster for his team. Elite shot blocker, whenever someone tries him in the paint it doesn’t go the opponents way. Good rim runner and rebounder. Scores mostly on put backs, had a huge put back dunk later in the season. Forward for a talented Marian Catholic squad.
Camden Cerese (Greater Purpose)
Cerese of Lake Park put up some big scoring outings this season. His stock has risen tremendously this year. He’s a 6’3 combo guard who can score from all 3 levels. Smooth handle and footwork in the midrange area. Will certainly be one to watch this upcoming season.
Treshawn Blissett (M14 Adidas Gold)
Blissett a 6’5 wing who has a lot of upside in this 2024 class. High level slasher, uses size, speed, and length to finish at the rim. Shown the ability to knock down the 3, and has potential on defense with good feet and length.
Ryan Runaas (Et21 Buckeyes)
Runaas of Lemont flew onto the scene this season with his consistent scoring ability. Really good shooter off dribble and catch and shoot. Got to the basket and finished through contact. Has good instincts defensively, jumping passing lanes, or picking pockets for transition baskets.
Henry Martinez (Brook Town Force)
Played up with 17 u and held his own. Good rim runner and shot blocker. Rebounds well and has just been improving all season long. He will continue to improve with the coaching staff at Oak Lawn and capable playmakers they have.
